I didn't know I needed this!
Told my husband I wanted a belt squat with a kickstand. Did a little research and told him I wanted the one frim Fringe Sports. As we own several products and none have been disappointing.
Let me just say that I love this thing. I've been having issues loading onto my back and found an alternative to the standard squat.
Further more, with the belt squat, I can go as deep and hold for as long as I desire.
I have always been a believer in *** to grass for squats and with the belt squat i can do that.
This kickstand is also a great attachment. Starting on the up position allows me to really set into the squat position I want. Back straight and seating into the squat for a good quad set or slightly hinged at the hips for a more glute set.
I absolutely recommend this piece of equipment. It is also great for small spaces.

The Mammoth belt is EVERYTHING I had hoped for. I avoided smith machine and regular bar squats to save my back (lifting 30 plus years) at 54 years old. Easy and simple assembly. Worth every penny
I had major back surgery last summer (my S1 vertebrae is crushed) and loaded squatting with any real weight is in the past. I can leg press but only sparingly so I decided to give the belt squat a go so that I could alternate squat and leg press days. All I can say is I made the right choice for all the reasons all the other reviews stated. I included a pic of my set up so that others can see how I set it up on a crowded half rack. I do not have to take it on and off between uses and that's a big plus for me.

The build quality of the Mammoth Belt Squat is stellar.
I have never been a fan of traditional barbell squats. That coupled with a
recent knee injury has kept me away from the squat rack. While researching
alternatives I came across the Fringe Mammoth Belt Squat. The Mammoth Belt
Squat has been a godsend. With the Mammoth Belt Squat I am able to complete
a much deeper squat than I ever could while performing traditional squats.
Part of this is because the Mammoth Belt Squat allows me to complete a full
range of motion without the fear of being crushed under the bar if I reach
a point of failure. Worst case scenario with the Mammoth Belt Squat, I take
a knee and unhook the belt. I generally exercise alone, so it is nice to
have the peace of mind knowing I can push myself a little harder without
risking serious injury.
The build quality of the Mammoth Belt Squat is stellar. It is a fairly
simple design which is engineered solid as a rock. That being said, the
included instructions and the linked video were not very helpful during the
assembly process. Additionally, I would recommend some alterations to
assembly in order to optimize the use of the Mammoth Belt Squat. I found it
beneficial to install the kickstand closer to the end of the Mammoth Belt
Squat by using the hole intended for the rubber stopper. This in turn
allows the weight horn to be attached closer to the end of the belt squat,
thus increasing felt weight, without the operation of the kickstand lever
arm being interfered with by loaded weight plates.
The compatibility with most squat racks is also a nice touch. I currently
own a 2×2 squat rack, but plan to upgrade to a 3×3 in the near future. It
is satisfying to know I will not need to shell out more money for another
belt squat when that day arrives.
When I made my purchase the kick stand and belt were included for free, but
this is not always the case. Fringe also recently released the Dual Mounted
Weight Horn upgrade for pre-sale. In my opinion, these items should all
always be included with the purchase of the Mammoth Belt Squat. While not
completely necessary it would also be a nice touch for Fringe to include
the Magpin they offer elsewhere on there site instead of the standard hitch
pin. These inclusions would make the Mammoth Belt Squat feel more like a
premium product. I think it would greatly benefit Fringe to up the price of
the Mammoth Belt Squat some and include everything as a single package. It
begins to feel like pay to play when you have to keep buying add-ons to get
optimal usage out of a piece of equipment you have already purchased.
While not perfect, the Mammoth Belt Squat is well worth the price of
admission. If you suffer from shoulder, neck, back, or in my case, knee
injuries, this is a great option which will allow you to continue
squatting. With some creative thinking many other exercises can also be
completed. This is by far the best belt squat option on the market at this
price range.
