Absolutely incredible machine. I’ll get right to it. Cons: 1. They say 98% assembled, but it still took me about 3 hours (did it myself). However, not a big deal. 2. Instructions for assembly were not that great and the video is a generic one, so not super helpful. Also, you need your own large Allen keys and some bolts are a bit difficult to get to when assembling the plastic covers. 3. That’s it, just the assembly portion are the only cons. Pros: 1. Everything about this machine is quality. 2. The movement of the cables is incredibly smooth. 3. No issues with the variety of exercises I have done, all functionality is super smooth and feels like a high-end piece of equipment. 4. Weight stacks are a huge plus, 230 lbs for each stack is perfect. I consider myself a strong individual and I don’t see me outgrowing this. 5. Movement of the pulley points is incredibly intuitive, easy, and safe (no pinch points and can be done one handed). I have about $7k is various equipment in my home gym and by far this is the best quality investment I’ve made.

I've been researching home gym equipment for months. When I came upon X-Mark's new FT-9040, the features, the base price and the promotional 15% discount compelled me to pull the trigger on my purchase. I was in the market for a functional trainer that would allow me to complete my small home gym set-up in the limited space of my basement. I contacted X-Mark's Customer Service with several questions related to equipment dimensions, weight, delivery, packaging etc and they responded quickly and thoroughly. This also influenced my decision, purchasing from a company that has responsive , live Coustomer Service Reps was extremely important to me. The key selling features for me were, 1) the FT-9040 being 98% assembled from the factory, 2) the dual 230# weight stack, 3) the overall dimensions and sleek modern appearance of the machine. I made the purchase online on Sunday night and the following Friday around 4pm my Equipment was delivered. The equipment was packaged in a wooden crate with built-in pallets. Each major component was wrapped in plastic and meticulously packed in the crate with all parts and hardware present. I was very pleased with this and the fast delivery. The unboxing was simple as there weren't a tremendous number of parts since the machine was 98% pre-assembled. There were the two main structural frames, which were very heavy and required at least two of us to move it from my garage to my basement. The weights, connection beams and other components were easily carried by me. We took our time and had the machine fully assembled in about an hour and a half (The Video was very helpful). The assembly of the decorative weight shrouds were not shown in the video, they require some patience in handling and some intuition as to how their sub-components fit together. Overall, the final assembly of the machine was problem free. After assembly, I tested operation of the machine and the pulleys worked smoothly except for one pulley trolley. I contacted Customer Service, sent them a video of the fully assembled machine and my operation of the two trolleys and the two weight stacks. They responded quickly with several proposed resolutions, I reviewed the suggestions and did other troubleshooting and found that a pulley in one of the pre-assembled frames was binding. I loosened the pulley and lubed it and the spool-bolt, problem solved. In conclusion, I am very pleased with X-Mark Customer Service before and after sale, their timely delivery, product quality and features and value for the money. Ed S.

We shopped around for functional trainers for a while but finally decided this Xmark Fitness one due to the smaller footprint for our garage gym (the depth is what sold us) It is so sturdy/durable and the adjustments and pulleys are smooth and quiet. I can’t imagine a better product for us. Assembly was fairly easy between the printed instructions and online video, we didn’t have any issues although it is extremely heavy! My suggestion is make sure you place it exactly where you want it because it will be hard to move after it’s completely assembled. The customer service reps we talked to before we bought it were more than happy to answer all of our questions.
