I am a middle aged man (58) in pretty good shape to start and have been working out for a little over a year, not to bulk up, just preparing for getting older, I’m trying to make it to 90 while still being able to ride my bicycle and hike.This machine is more than enough for my needs/goals. My wife uses it too since she is not comfortable at a gym.If you’re looking to really bulk up, this may not be for you since the highest actual amount you can lift is 200# (both stacks combined). That’s because the ratio is 2:1 due to the mechanical advantage from the pulleys (I think that’s the technical reason). Now that’s plenty for me, but consider how much you want to be lifting before buying.There seem to be almost endless options

Folks, I had been shopping around for some time looking for a good quality, but low-cost functional trainer. I looked at all the local resellers, shopped online, and read all of the reviews. Not sure about everyone else, but I get nervous when making large purchases. Super glad I purchased this Functional Trainer from XMARK. It arrived in a large, well packed crate and took ~ 4 hours to assemble. And you need to be careful when routing the cables. But once complete, its truly amazing to use daily. So many exercises. And transitioning between exercises is a snap. All the goodness of a functional trainer and this one is definitely top quality. Well worth the investment.
